How You Can Help
How you can help the most vulnerable in our communities.
We welcome individuals, families, groups of friends, churches, communities or workplaces that would like to fund raise to support our services. Whether it be a themed ball, a run, a collection, a bike ride or a bake off we can provide you with any support you need. For example, a Winter Ball in 2015 raised £3000 for our Domestic Abuse services in Dorset.
A gift in your will to YOU is a wonderful way to help us to continue our work changing lives across our communities, giving people hope and a future.
Through the generosity of individuals, families and workplaces our work can make a real difference to thousands of lives every year. You can make a one time donation or a monthly contribution for our work in general or for a specific service. Every donation helps us to change someone’s life.
Volunteers are an essential part of the team at YOU. They are all ages and backgrounds and fulfil so many different roles from helping to teach people new skills, to supporting advice work, administration or even social media and marketing support. Volunteering helps you to develop new skills, be part of a wonderful team of extraordinary people and do something rewarding.
We really value our partnerships with local companies. We know that great companies use the power of business to help solve social and environmental problems. People want to work for businesses that are socially responsible and customers want to buy from companies that care about society. There are so many ways that businesses can partner with us, whether through team challenge days, corporate sponsorship of services, giving of time and expertise or fund-raising events. We do see this as a partnership not a one way street and can offer businesses our expertise in return through for example talks on issues such as domestic violence which could affect any company.
