OTHER SERVICES

WELCOME

I’m Alison and Head of Older People and Disability Services. All my working life I have worked with people and am passionate about service quality; what that really means to some and how we can make people’s experiences of our services the very best of times. This is, and always will be, the focus of my departments work. As a qualified coach, and with 30 years experience of leadership in social care services, I am committed to walking alongside people as partners in their journey in life, building on their strengths and skills to achieve their goals.

What we do

Through both domiciliary care and reablement support our aim is to stay focussed on keeping older people as independent as possible, for as long as they feel able because this is what people tell us they want. We do this through time limited support targeting the individual’s own goals and providing moral support, encouragement, reassurance and physical assistance and working proactively, methodically and sensitively with people to maximise choices and quality of life, building both confidence and motivation.

Our focus is to help people to do things for themselves that they may have lost confidence to undertake by building on what people can do. As in all our services our values when providing care and support are priority alongside a very personalised approach and include treating every person with dignity and respect. All our older people services are Care Quality Commission registered and adhere to their regulations.
