A BBQ day to remember

Residents from three of our supported living homes came together for a joyful BBQ day, one to remember! It was filled with games, laughter, and plenty of delicious food. Organised by Jo, who manages Orsmond Close, Stakes Road, and Golden Court, is was a celebration of community and creativity.

A BBQ for the memories

Held in the accessible garden at Orsmond Close, the day welcomed residents of all abilities for a fun-filled afternoon. Tug of war, football, and dancing kept everyone moving, while our very own resident DJ, Steve, provided music. After working up an appetite, guests tucked into a mouth-watering BBQ feast. Complete with Jo’s homemade cupcakes and a cake from Michael.

Each resident received a goodie bag packed with sweets, fidget toys, and other surprises, small tokens that added a big smile to the day. Our support team works tirelessly year-round to make sure no two weeks are the same. Through collaboration, imagination, and a deep understanding of the people they support, they help create lives full of meaning, fun, and connection. Because having a learning disability doesn’t mean life should be predictable, variety really is the spice of life!
