Anchors of Hope is a campaign to help our Portsmouth-based Counselling with You service. Our service provides emotional and mental stability, grounding us during life’s storms. Without hope, like a ship without an anchor, we can feel adrift or vulnerable. But with the support of our counsellors, our community can stay firm and resilient, able to withstand challenges and grow stronger. They are an Anchor of Hope.
Unfortunately, we risk being cast ashore as funding dries up so we need your help to keep Counselling with You afloat and steady. We are now calling out to our community to be an anchor for our service so that we can remain as an anchor of hope for you.
From the moment we opened our doors at Anchor House, we recognised that the PO1 – PO6 areas were more than just postcodes—they represent the heart of our community, filled with individuals and families who face real challenges every day. These are the neighbourhoods where people build their lives, pursue their dreams, and confront their struggles. We’re committed to walking alongside them through it all.
Counselling offers our community a safe, comforting space where people can open up about their deepest feelings without fear of judgement. It’s a place where they can be truly heard and understood, sometimes for the first time. Through the guidance and support from a counsellor, they begin to untangle their struggles, discovering an anchor of hope.
Counselling helps them heal old wounds, discover their inner strength, and rebuild their lives with a sense of peace and balance. Every session, every conversation, is a step toward creating a stronger, more resilient community, where everyone feels valued, heard, and supported.
Our conselling rooms create a comfortable environment for healing.
