How to participate
Getting involved in a campaign for a charity is a great way to make a tangible difference. Here are some ways you can take part and create real change in our communities.
Donate
Your donations go directly toward supporting our campaigns and services, helping us provide vital assistance to those who need it most. You can donate online, via bank transfer, or by cheque. Whatever works best for you. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, makes a real difference.
Fundraise
You can organise your own fundraising event or challenge to support our charitable campaigns. We offer resources such as our fundraising pack, to help you get started and reach your goals. Common ideas include a sponsored run, bake sale, or virtual event.
Raise awareness
You can help us spread the word by sharing our campaigns on social media, talking to your friends and family, and letting others know about the work we’re doing. Simple word of mouth is a powerful way to bring more people into our mission and make an even bigger impact.
Success Stories
We love sharing the inspiring journeys of the people we have supported. These success stories show just how much our services can make a difference in someone’s life, and they remind us of the strength of community.
Jemma’s journey with Workwise
Jemma, who experiences anxiety, received crucial support from our Workwise service. The Portsmojuth-based service helps neurodiverse adults find and keep jobs.
She’d faced challenges in maintaining employment due to her mental health struggles. But with the right support, she was able to overcome these barriers. Through the Workwise service, Jemma received the guidance she needed to build her confidence, prepare for interviews, and pursue a career in the NHS.
Jemma was referred to Workwise by the Job Centre, and together we focused on her goals, finding a part-time role working with children. Workwise supported Jemma with confidence-building courses, crafting a cover letter, and preparing for interviews. We also worked with the Job Centre and a training provider to help her complete a short course for those interested in working within the NHS.
After completing the two-week course, Jemma successfully interviewed for a healthcare assistant role and was offered a part-time position within the NHS! Her hard work and dedication paid off, and she is now thriving in her new role.
