We launched two new campaigns with coffee, cake, and a cause.
On 9 October, we hosted a successful coffee and cake morning at our head office in Fareham. The event launched two critical campaigns we are passionate about. The Hundreds and Thousands campaign raises funds for a safe house for domestic abuse victims. While Anchor of Hope supports our Portsmouth counselling service for mental health.
The morning brought together key community members. We were honoured to have The Mayor of Fareham, the Police & Crime Commissioner, and representatives from The News. Local businesses also joined us, showing strong community support. We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who attended!
A sweet atmosphere
The atmosphere was positive and the room was filled with conversation, laughter, and cake. Events like this remind us of what we can do when we work together.
Gratitude for contributions
A special thank you goes to MAKE Café in Fratton, part of the Aldingbourne Trust, for providing the delicious cupcakes. They support individuals with learning disabilities and autism by offering them valuable work experience and training. Their contribution, along with the homemade treats lovingly prepared by our own staff, made the morning even sweeter. The effort and generosity of our team never cease to amaze us!
Looking ahead
Looking ahead, we are excited about the possibility of establishing a regular Cams group. This would be an excellent platform for ongoing collaboration between key partners and local agencies. All working together to make a positive impact on our community.
Thank you, team
We want to take a moment to thank each and every one of our staff who helped make this event possible. Whether you baked, helped set up, or simply attended with a smile and a willingness to connect, your contributions helped make the morning special. This is just the beginning of what we hope will be many more events focused on building support for those who need it most.
Let’s continue to keep the momentum going and make a real difference in our community – one slice of cake at a time!
