The CQC has awarded our enablement and supported living services an Outstanding rating for Caring. A huge congratulations to our teams!
We’re delighted to share fantastic news following recent assessments by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), the independent regulator of health and social care services in England.
The CQC plays a vital role in making sure people receive safe, effective, caring and responsive, well-led support. Its assessments are rigorous and independent, involving conversations with people who use services and their families. They get feedback from staff and managers, review records, and make observations of day-to-day practices.
Following these assessments, we’re proud to announce that both our Supported Living and Enablement services were recognised for delivering high-quality support that enables people to live fulfilling lives, make their own choices and maintain their independence.
Most notably, the services received an Outstanding rating for Caring, while several elements within the Well-Led domain were also highlighted as outstanding achievements.

What did the CQC find?
The assessments highlighted many strengths across our services, including:
- People felt safe, listened to and respected.
- Staff actively promoted choice, independence and inclusion.
- People were supported by highly skilled and knowledgeable colleagues.
- Staff understood people’s rights and empowered them to make decisions about their own lives.
- The principles of Right Support, Right Care, Right Culture were embedded throughout services supporting people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs.
The reports also recognised the strong culture within our services, highlighting how leaders and teams work together to ensure people’s wishes, preferences and aspirations remain at the heart of everything we do.
The voices that matter most
While ratings and reports are important, some of the most meaningful feedback came directly from the people who use our services and their families.
One person told inspectors:
I trust my staff, we do things together and I feel very safe.
Another shared:
I love it here, I never want to leave, staff are good.
Families also praised the support provided:
We’ve had nothing but excellent service.
People spoke positively about the control they have over their lives:
My staff are great; I can decide who supports me and what we are doing.
Perhaps most powerfully, one person reflected on the impact the service has had on their wellbeing:
If it wasn’t for The YOU Trust, I would still be very unwell… they are great, they know me well and I can do far more than before.
This success belongs to everyone involved in delivering and supporting these services.
