Easter chick visitors brought much joy and fluffy excitement this Easter weekend across our Tamarine, Brierwood and Old Timbers residences. Our services welcomed five very special Easter visitors, and everyone had fun!
This year marks the fourth time we’ve hatched chicks from eggs using an incubator, and this group has certainly made an impression. They’ve been the most interactive, and the noisiest, bunch yet. Much to the delight of our wonderful service users. The chicks have sparked curiosity, laughter and plenty of smiles, creating a joyful experience for everyone involved.
A much‑loved part of the experience is naming the chicks. This year, everyone submitted five name suggestions each, resulting in a very full naming pot! It’s a pleasure to now officially introduce…
Easter chick visitors: The Class of 2026
- Buttercup
- Egg Shearan (brilliant!)
- Lily
- Malaika (meaning angel/queen in Swahili)
- Mase
After all the excitement, the little ones are currently enjoying a well earned rest while waiting for the arrival of Farmer Simon. Once he arrives, the chicks will be heading back to the farm to continue growing. Throughout the year, we’ll receive updates on all our previous hatchlings. Our clients always enjoy reading about in the newsletters and following their journeys beyond Easter.
These annual visits continue to be a meaningful and memorable experience for our services. And we’re already looking forward to welcoming the next generation of fluffy visitors in the future.
If you’d like to sponsor fun activities like this, please get in touch. We’re working on improving our residents’ gardens and need help in buying materials and in developing the outdoor areas.
