Hundreds and thousands of small acts of kindness can achieve something great. If each of us can help a little, or a lot, we can achieve something meaningful.
Why we need your help
We all think there’s no place like home, but for victims of domestic abuse, their home is not always a safe space. What if home meant harm? Isolation? Fear? What if you had no safe space to call home at all? That’s the reality for the people we work with, who face threats, physical and emotional abuse, and coercive control.
People who need safe houses endure profound suffering.
Being threatened with homelessness changes a person. It may make you stay in an abusive relationship for fear of being on the streets, without a roof over your head. You may fear facing hunger, cold and the cruel erosion of dignity, and having to admit to people that your loving relationship is a sham and you are victim of domestic abuse. That’s a huge step to have to take, whilst being threatened with homelessness.

Fundraising inspiration
Themed party/picnic
Host a themed party (e.g. 80s disco, masquerade). You could charge an entry fee and donate the proceeds, hold a mini raffle, auction cakes and other items and offer prizes for the best dressed guests.
Volunteer challenges
The only limit to these is your imagination and ability. You could host an exercise class and charge/ask for donations. You can be sponsored to climb a mountain, swim a mile, run a marathon or seek pledges for your achievement.
Big events
For weddings, birthdays, or other meaningful events, you can ask your guests to donate to YOU for this cause. This turns your special day into a meaningful legacy for your communities. You can choose a name to go on a digital plaque on our Friends Wall.
Online or silent auction
Collect donated items (art, crafts, services) and host an online auction or a silent auction, where people silently submit their bids for each item and the highest bidder wins. These events are ideal to promote through social media and email.
Bake sale
Decorate your cakes with hundreds and thousands. Host a bake sale at work, advertise to local businesses in the area and raise the roof to help secure a safe house.
Fun run/walk
Organise a charity run or walkathon. Encourage participants to seek sponsorships from friends and family.
Hundreds and thousands of sprinkles might transform a cake, but hundreds and thousands of donations will transform lives.
With a fundraising goal of £500,000 we can set up a safe house
We hope to achieve our target by 2027. However, our fundraising will continue until we reach our goal!

£1,000 – £5,000
For each business or individual who donates £1,000, we’ll add a plaque to our ‘Friends of YOU’ wall which will be in the entrance of the building, in addition to the below. If you donate £5,000, you will also be invited to our opening ceremony.
£100 – £1,000
For each donation of £100 to £1,000, your name will be added to a growing virtual sponsor wall on our main website and sister PARAGON site. You’ll also get a personal shout out on social media and a virtual certificate that we’ll email to you.

Top tip!
If you’re a UK tax payer, use the Gift Aid form when you donate. This will increase your donation by an extra 25% at no extra cost to you! So when you donate to the Hundreds and Thousands Campaign, remember to also use gift aid.
