Hayley Connor

Group Chief Executive

Hayley Connor, Group Chief Executive

I am a dynamic and innovative leader with a passion for delivering outcomes that count! The common thread that defines my career development is a focus on empowering people to make a difference to their own lives and that of their communities.

Paul Taylor-Toms, Group Director of Finance

Paul is a creative, driven and forward thinking qualified chartered accountant with over 15 years experience in finance operations. He takes great enjoyment in providing well presented information and being involved in the ‘reasons why’ behind financial numbers, working out why some things tick and others don’t.

Karen Reid

Director of Business Development, Governance and Operations

Karen Reid, Director of Business Development, Governance and Operations

Karen brings 20 years of experience in supported housing, service tendering, strategic relationship building, and developing innovative proposals for funders, complementing and strengthening the organisation’s existing expertise. Karen began her career with the Hampshire Autistic Society before moving into supported housing with Winchester Housing Group, progressing through a variety of operational and business development roles. In 2019, she took on a strategic leadership role at A2Dominion, where she has led the growth of the Group’s specialist housing portfolio over the past seven years.

Her work has included delivering the Specialist Housing Strategy, strengthening partnerships with commissioners, overseeing asset improvement programmes, developing innovative housing pathways, and leading cross-functional teams spanning business development, quality, compliance, customer insight, and social value.

Phillip Freed

Director of Operations and Business Development

Phillip Freed, Director of Operations and Business Development

Philip has worked in the care sector for 21 years. He started as a support worker for adults with learning disabilities and later moved to working with children, young adults and families.

He graduated in 2010 from the University of Portsmouth with a degree in social work but takes the approach that leaning is life-long. There is always a new skill or lesson that can be learnt.

Philip has a passion for the work he does, focusing on what is important to people, working alongside them and supporting them to thrive.

Samantha Slydell

Director of Corporate Services

Samantha Slydell, Director of Corporate Services

My career in HR began following a fascination with the law and my natural penchant for puzzles and problem solving, which continues to this day. A passion for supporting employees to undertake their roles and realise their potential developed as I grew in the profession, as well as admiring the incredible work and vision required to thrive in the not-for-profit sector.

With two decades of experience working in all aspects of HR; including recruitment, employee relations, TUPE, learning & development, payroll, and regulatory compliance; sometimes it can feel as though there is little I haven’t come across. That’s, of course, not the case though and anyone who knows me knows that I believe in continuous learning and love a challenge. In fact, my motto for life is that “every day’s a school day”.

As a pet owner and a lover of food, good company and travelling, I enjoy getting out and about, meeting new people, and sharing in new and exciting experiences. All of which I like to try and channel back into my work enthusiastically in some way or another!
