We’re deeply grateful for your desire to raise funds and support your community. Your help enables us to help individuals who are facing tough challenges. They might be someone escaping domestic abuse or a young person working hard to build a better future. With your help, we can create a real, lasting impact in their lives, offering them the chance to thrive.
The money you raise or donate goes directly to supporting adults and children. Helping them live the life they want by providing the resources that aren’t covered by other funding. Your donation might go to safe accommodation for those escaping domestic abuse. Or, giving young people the life skills they need to succeed. Every penny makes a difference. Your generosity helps ensure that these individuals receive the support they need to create a brighter, more independent future.
Donating is a meaningful way to make a real difference in the lives of others. People you might never meet, but whose lives will be changed because of your kindness. Whether it’s £5, £10, or more, every contribution allows us to help vulnerable people. You can even choose which service you’d like your donation to support, so you know exactly where your gift is making an impact.
Please note, we use up to 15% of donations for administrative costs, no matter where the funds go.
How your support helps vulnerable people
At The YOU Trust, we’re dedicated to supporting vulnerable people by providing a range of services that make a real difference in people’s lives.
But we can’t do it without your support. Donations fill the gaps where funding can’t reach, making sure we’re able to continue our work and provide the support vulnerable people need to rebuild their lives.
One of the key ways your donation helps is through our refuges and shelters, where we provide safe accommodation for women and children escaping domestic abuse. Many of these families have left everything behind in search of safety, and your generosity gives them the essentials they need to start over. Like a safe place to stay, food, and emotional support. We’ll help them tackle the criminal justice system, access health care, or find permanent housing. Your donation has a direct and lasting impact on their journey to safety and recovery.
Want to help vulnerable people but not sure how?

Get involved with fundraising
If you’re looking for a more hands-on way to support us, fundraising is a great option. Our Cycling Without Age service in Portsmouth and Hayling Island is just one example of an initiative that relies on fundraising to grow. The funds raised will help expand this popular service.
Fundraising efforts like our Seasonal Cheer Campaign have made a significant difference in the lives of vulnerable people. from providing essential items to families in refuge, to funding creative projects. One of our most inspiring recent projects saw a group of aspiring astronauts take fundraising to new heights, literally. With determination and teamwork, they climbed stairs to match the equivalent altitude of the International Space Station! Their efforts helped turn a room in one of our refuges into a welcoming children’s centre, a space filled with warmth, creativity, and hope for the future.
If you’d like to fundraise for The YOU Trust, you can download our fundraising materials and read the Fundraising Regulator’s Code of Conduct.
