We offer an Into Work Service with the aim of helping people with a learning disability build their confidence and independence. We work close with employers and our clients to explore aspirations and goals.
Richard feels more connected and independent by cleaning up Cosham, which allows for a better quality of life.
Into Work is a service funded by Portsmouth City Council that supports adults with learning disabilities. The service helps adults find placements in paid work, volunteering and training opportunities.
Since February 2021 Richard has been working for Ground Control. His responsibilities include making the area a safer and nicer looking space by removing litter and trash. He is doing well, keeping busy and also enjoys his job. Commenting on this, he said:
