A younger woman escaped violence and abuse but ended up homeless and sleeping on the streets and then sofa surfing. We met her a couple of times found her a place to live and then connected to a mental health team for social support. She is settled now and has changed dramatically; her health and wellbeing has improved and she feels so positive now.
A young mum I worked with started to use the 5 steps to wellbeing, connected to nature, took up walking and we found lots of ideas for her to be creative at home. She communicated with me via WhatsApp and we chatted a lot, I sent her education packs and ideas and she is now sharing ideas back with me so I can share with others I work with. She now grows plants in her garden with her children and is feeling happy now.
