The TRI-M charity challenge aims to raise money and awareness for two charities: Rock2Recovery and The YOU Trust.
The TRI-M is a 1,000km Triathlon spanning most of England. The date of this challenge is 6th June 2025 and Daryl plans on doing the whole thing in 10 days. Nature permitting, of course! And we’re proud to be supporting Daryl, as he embarks on a challenge most of us could only ever dream of.
The Swim
The first section of Tri-M will start with swimming from Ryde on the Isle of Wight, to Gosport and back. That’s 12kms. This is one of the busiest ports in the UK, so it will require special permits and standby support. He’ll only be allowed to swim this treacherous route if the wind is below a force 4. It’s approximately 15kms, depending on the tides and drift, so not something for the faint of heart!

The ride
This should take around 2 ½ days to complete, and will take him from Solent to Robin Hood’s Bay, which is on the east coast of Yorkshire. Heading along the west of England, Dylan will skirt the boarder of Wales where he’ll cut across the peak district, which has an elevation of 2,000 ft.

The Run
The final stretch is ‘The Run’. Starting at Robin Hood’s Bay, it will take Daryl across the entire width of the country and end in St Bees Bay in Cumbria. That’s just over 300kms. Just to make sure there even more of a challenge, Daryl has adapted the route to include some of the highest peaks along the way! This will take five to six days to complete, hopefully!
Daryl is undertaking these challenges to raise money and awareness for Rock 2 Recovery and The YOU Trust.
We hope you will support him in his mission! If you’d like to keep up to day with his training, you can follow him on Instagram
