The appointed Group Learning & Development Partner will:
• Have experience of working in a Learning & Development role.
• Be skilled at identifying, designing and delivering Learning & Development solutions.
• Have experience of liaising and working with providers of learning solutions, as well as in evaluating the suitability of training offered to best meet the needs of our organisation.
• Possess excellent written, verbal and presentational communication skills.
• Have excellent IT skills with a good understanding of e-learning and learning platforms.
• Be a driver with a valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle to use for work purposes.

The Role
As the Group Learning & Development Partner you will form part of the People & Learning Department and will work alongside our managers to enable them to achieve their business objectives by supporting them with the development of their staff, workers and volunteers. Working with the Group Learning and Development Lead you will advise on latest initiatives to ensure the delivery of cutting edge blended learning solutions.
You will be required to liaise with training providers to source suitable training programmes, qualifications and apprenticeship opportunities, as well as possessing the skills to devise and deliver some training sessions yourself. The Group Learning & Development Partner role will also be supported by the Group Learning & Development Administrator, and together you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the L&D function under the guidance of your manager. This will include ensuring appropriate promotion and attendance of training sessions to ensure they are cost-effective as well as monitoring compliance levels for mandatory training requirements.
Knowledge of the Social Care Sector and/or the Commercial and Computing sectors would also be desirable and beneficial to any candidate to ensure any learning solutions offered met the Group’s regulatory requirements, although this is not essential as this can be learned.
About You
You will join a warm and friendly team delivering all aspects of Human Resources and as such you will need to be confident working as part of a team as well as on your own initiative. Carrying out the role of the Group Learning & Development Partner will require you to have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. You will also be used to working in a fast-paced setting, with an organised and methodical approach to managing your workload. It is important for this role that the post-holder is passionate and enthusiastic about the field of learning and development, keeping up to date with the latest trends to bring to YOU.
As a Learning & Development Officer you will have good attention to detail and be a skilled writer and facilitator of workshop-style training as needed, with excellent IT skills and experience of using Microsoft Office packages. You will also be involved in arranging events such as staff conferences and occasions to celebrate the learning achievements of our staff, workers and volunteers.
