Essential Requirements
The appointable Senior Support Worker will:
• Have a valid UK driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes
• Diploma Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) or willing to complete
• Strong IT skills as the service is moving onto an online support plan system (Nourish)
• Experience of working with vulnerable people and those with a learning disability
• Understand CQC regulations
• Experience of enabling people to achieve positive outcomes
• Good communication skills: verbal, non verbal, and written
• Understand confidentiality and how this applies to clients and staff members
• Be flexible and able to work shifts including evenings, weekends, sleep-ins and waking nights if required.

The Role
This a varied and interesting role for those looking to progress their careers, deputising in the Registered Managers absence, you will be supporting the Registered Manager with the following:
You will work closely with the Registered Manager ensuring shifts are covered and a service led rota is in place
You will support the Registered Manager to ensure all record keeping reaches the required CQC standards: including support plans, risk assessments, health needs, PBS and financial documents
The Senior Support Worker will support the team to manage risk within the service, follow Safeguarding processes, and Health & Safety requirements
As Senior Support Worker you will offer appropriate time, supervision and opportunities for staff to review their work and to address any performance issues
You will ensure clients are at the forefront when making decisions about service design and delivery surpassing best practice standards
The Senior Support Worker will support the Registered Manager to recruit the right staff, workers and volunteers to provide what matters to our clients
You will role model anti-discriminatory practice and ensure this underpins all aspects of service delivery
