Zurich sent two teams to our Paragon refuge to help makeover rooms used for therapy and relaxation. It’s fantastic to see Zurich step up again to help those who are most vulnerable. And this makeover will contribute to the journeys of many.
They rolled up their sleeves and helped us breathe new life into two disused office spaces. Both teams happened to choose some of the hottest days of the year to volunteer. And despite the heat, their energy and compassion never wavered!
Makeover team 1
The first team focused on creating a space especially for teenagers living in refuge. This area was thoughtfully designed to support relaxation, study, and meaningful engagement with our Children and Young People (CYP) team. With vibrant touches and a welcoming layout, it’s now a safe haven where young people can find calm, connect with others, and take part in their appointments with confidence. It’s very important to have a safe space that you can feel comfortable in.
Makeover team 2
The second Zurich team transformed a separate office into a peaceful, restorative setting for our adult clients. This revamped space offers privacy, comfort, and warmth, an ideal spot for reflection, downtime, and connection with key workers. From fresh paint to carefully chosen furnishings, every detail was geared towards creating a comfortable space where counselling can take place. Being able to talk through your problems is one of the paths to recovery.
We’re incredibly grateful to both teams for their dedication, empathy, and drive. Their work goes far beyond paint and décor. It lays the foundation for safety, dignity, and recovery for those rebuilding their lives.
