Our counsellors
Our service is made up of volunteer counsellors. Some are qualified and offer sessions to enable everyone in our community to access counselling. While others are completing their final qualification and require placement hours.
All counsellors go through the same recruitment processes as paid staff, and are required to have a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check before working with you. They receive clinical supervision from our Counselling Supervisor and are subject to the same rigorous ethics as all our counsellors. All are subject to the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP) ethical framework. Many are individual members of the BACP and some are accredited.
