YOU Counselling now offers therapeutic sessions for people who are in a recovery journey from use of alcohol or drugs. We know that the use, or misuse, of alcohol and drugs can impact negatively on a person’s life. These negative factors can accumulate and increase over the course of time. Especially when a person is in the grip of addiction.
We know that relationships with partners, children, family, friends and co-workers suffer. And sometimes people lose their employment, their homes and their lifestyle.
There can be a significant impact on mental health and wellbeing. This can lead to:
- poor decision making
- an inability to concentrate
- focussing on unhealthy behaviours
- focussing on negative self-talk
- Attempts to manage powerful cravings from your substance of choice
That is where the rehabilitation recovery programmes with Society of St James and our partnership can help and support a you. Our experienced and skilled counsellors are here to work with you on your journey of development and recovery.
Working together in counselling offers the opportunity for you to work and improve your mental-wellbeing, health, and social interactions. When you feel ready, you can get back into activities that you once enjoyed. Like sports, hobbies, volunteering or work.
We’ll work with your key worker at the Society of St James at your own pace with no pressure. Complementing the work you do in the recovery programmes there.
