It was another successful session at the Social Prescribing Community drop-in event on Hayling island. The highlight of the day was Hayling Island Bowls Club, hosted by Jerry and Mike. They offered us taster sessions to the Social Prescribing Community Group. It was a fantastic opportunity for people of all ages to come together and enjoy a fun-filled day.
Hayling Island Bowls Club is a well-known and respected club on the island. They’ve been providing a space for people to come and enjoy the game for many years. However, today they took it a step further by offering our group a free taster session.
It was heart-warming to see people of different ages and backgrounds coming together to enjoy a common activity.
This meant that anyone, regardless of their skill level or experience, could come and try their hand at the game. The session started off with a warm welcome from the members of Hayling Bowls Club. They were excited to share their love for the game with the community and were eager to teach anyone who was interested. The club set up several lanes for people to practice on, and they provided all the necessary equipment.
Members of Hayling Island Bowls Club were incredibly patient and supportive. They took the time to explain the rules of the game to those who were new to it and offered tips and tricks to improve their skills. It was evident that they genuinely cared about the community and wanted everyone to have a great time.
The atmosphere was filled with laughter and cheers filled the air as people tried their best to hit the target with their bowls. There was a sense of camaraderie among the participants, as they encouraged and cheered each other.
