Why did you do your apprenticeship?
I started my apprenticeship as I felt I was ready to further my career and gain more of an understanding of my job role as a senior support worker as I know it is a requirement for the post.
What is the biggest thing you learnt doing it?
As I have only just started my NVQ there isn’t anything that comes to mind yet but I feel that I have learnt that I am capable and confident to complete an apprenticeship alongside my job and personal issues.
How has it helped in your day-to-day work?
I am learning how to for fill my job role as a senior support worker and work alongside management. To organise my time wisely to when I complete NVQ assessments and attend functional skill maths workshops.
How do you think it will help with your future?
I hope to further my career in the care sector and maybe one day complete another apprenticeship. We offer a range of apprenticeships that you can do when you join us. They are free and can really help develop your future career.
