The Big Charity Bash was held on Saturday 19th August at Fort Purbrook and was a great success!
Joining the Monica Appeal and other local charities, we showcased our services and the support we give to the community.
Kieran (YOU Counselling Team Manager), Angie (YOU Counselling Senior SPOC) & Annabelle (Into Work Employment Worker) were there spreading awareness. Which included how we help people to ensure they are safe and feel supported.
The event brought together individuals and organisations for a day of celebration, inspiration and togetherness. There was entertainment for all. With live music, engaging activities and storytelling, all with an aim to make a positive change for everyone. We have to mention the amazing food that was there! All supplied by different vendors working hard to ensure everyone was fed and refreshed.

The weather was definitely there to challenge us. But it was a challenge happily accepted. With rain to start then glorious sunshine in addition to the strong winds that decided to stay for the day. We refused to let that dampen anyone’s spirits. Thankfully, our stall neighbours Mindset Maintenance were there. Their lovely founder, Bianca, was kind enough to let us take shelter under their gazebo so we could continue to talk about our services.
We will be exhibiting at the Mindset Maintenance event in October, so come along for an inspirational and motivational evening. The theme will be how you can prioritise your mental wellbeing with education and relatable stories from different speakers and exhibitors.
